Application purpose

A concise description of Moodloom's intended API use.

Purpose statement

Moodloom is a personal, read-only design research assistant. It lets an authenticated user select a curated Pinterest board available to their account, retrieve current board and Pin information through the official Pinterest API, and identify recurring UI/UX patterns. Those observations help the same user prepare an original website design brief.

Requested access

boards:read

List boards and sections available to the authenticated account so the user can choose an inspiration collection.

pins:read

Retrieve Pins from the selected board for the requested visual-pattern analysis.

user_accounts:read

Read minimum account identity information so Moodloom can associate the authorization with the correct Pinterest account and provide account-specific board selection.

Data handling summary

Moodloom is currently in development; this public website does not accept Pinterest data or send it to an AI provider.
Access occurs only after user authorization.
Information is used only to serve the authenticated account owner.
The product is designed not to maintain a Pinterest-content database.
Information is not sold or used for behavioral advertising.
The product does not request write permissions or take actions on Pinterest.
The product does not collect Pinterest passwords or session cookies.

Example user journey

Authorize: The user connects their Pinterest account using OAuth.
Select: Moodloom lists accessible boards; the user chooses one.
Retrieve: Moodloom requests the current Pins for that board.
Analyze: The user's AI assistant summarizes recurring design patterns.
Create: The assistant proposes an original direction without republishing or copying a Pin.
